WSN baseball outscores Hillcrest 35-0 in three-game sweep

In a three-game area series with the Hillcrest Jaguars Thursday in Evergreen and Friday in East Brewton, the W.S. Neal Eagles pounded the Jaguars to improve to 13-4 overall and to 4-0 in area play.
W.S. Neal outscored the Jaguars 35-0 in the three-game set as they won game one 13-0 Thursday in Evergreen. On Friday in East Brewton, W.S. Neal won game two of the series 12-0 and game three 10-0.
In game one, Keith Bradley pitched in the five-inning win allowing one hit, no walks and struck out six. Damion Williams was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI and Logan Williamson was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Cam Blackman was 2-for-4 with two RBIs in the win.
In game two, Brian Settle earned the win going four innings on the mound for the Eagles.
Settle struck out six and allowed one hit. Hunter Mullins was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Jeremy Myers was 2-for-2 with one RBI in the win.
In game three, Blackman earned the win on the mound allowing one walk, two hits and struck out nine.
Mullins was 2-for-3 with a double, Williamson was 2-for-3 and Miles Powell was 2-for-3 with two doubles.
“It is nice to be 4-0 in area play,” W.S. Neal Eagle head coach Coy Campbell said. “We have a big series with Jackson coming up. The kids are working hard and we will be focused on the opportunity ahead of us.”
W.S. Neal will be back in action Friday at Jackson at 6:30 p.m. with a doubleheader with the Aggies planned for Saturday in East Brewton set to begin at 2 p.m.
