An early Sunday morning dispute landed one Brewton man behind bars and another seeking medical attention.
Randy Earl Smith was arrested by Brewton Police in connection with a family dispute call that left his step-son injured.
Skylier Dewayne Spears, 29, was taken by private vehicle to D.W. McMillan Hospital to seek treatment for injuries allegedly sustained in a scuffle with Smith.
According to information released by officials at the Brewton Police Department, officers responded to a call just before 1 a.m. Sunday to a home on Conoley Avenue.
When officers arrived on the scene they discovered Spears had sustained several cut wounds at some point during the evening.
As officers continued their investigation, evidence to support the arrest of Smith was found and the suspect was taken into custody.
Although a bond hearing was set for Smith Tuesday afternoon, no information on bond was available as of press time.
