TRM and WSN JV baseball split

The T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal JV baseball teams split a doubleheader Monday in East Brewton.
T.R. Miller’s Tigers won game one 9-8 and W.S. Neal won game two 12-0.
With the split, T.R. Miller saw their record go to 3-2 while W.S. Neal went to 5-7-1.
In other games for T.R. Miller, the Tigers lost to Flomaton 5-4 Tuesday to drop to 3-3 overall this season.

TRM JV 9, WSN 8
In the first game of the doubleheader in East Brewton Monday, T.R. Miller edged out the Eagles 9-8.
T.R. Miller led W.S. Neal 6-2 after the first inning and 9-4 after the second inning. W.S. Neal would get one run in each of the third and fourth innings to cut the lead to 9-6 and plated two in the fifth to cut the lead to one, 9-8.
Jones Manning was 2-for-3 for T.R. Miller at the plate and Tripp Floyd was 1-for-1 with one RBI. Tim McDonald was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and Zac Griffin had two RBIs.
On the mound, Floyd earned the win allowing eight runs, two earned, four hits, struck out seven, walked four and hit two in 4 2/3 innings of work.
Griffin earned the save going 1/3 of an inning walking one.
For W.S. Neal, Tyler Joyner took the loss. At the plate, Alex O’Keane was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a double and a sacrifice fly. Mike Williams was 1-for-2 with an RBI and Robin Swift was 1-for-2. Colten Morris was 1-for-2 in the loss.

WSN JV 12, TRM 0
In game two, W.S. Neal earned the split with a 12-0 win.
W.S. Neal held T.R. Miller scoreless while scoring three runs in the first and third innings and six in the fourth.
For T.R. Miller, Griffin was 1-for-1. On the mound, Ryan Gray took the loss as he went 2 2/3 innings allowing six runs, one hit, walked three, struck out none and allowed two earned runs.
Griffin and Jared Cooper pitched in relief and the duo allowed six runs, three hits, struck out three and walked three.
For W.S. Neal, Miles Powell pitched four innings and struck out eight and allowed one hit.
Brandon Carmichael was 2-for-3 with one RBI and Williams was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Powell was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Joyner was 2-for-2 with two RBIs.

Flomaton 5, TRM 4
At Flomaton, T.R. Miller lost 5-4 to the Hurricanes.
T.R. Miller led 4-0 after two innings before Flomaton scored two runs in the fourth and three in the fifth to rally for the win.
Cooper started and earned a no decision while Griffin took the loss in one inning of work.
Cooper went four innings and struck out five while walking three and allowing four hits.
Griffin took the loss as he allowed two runs on two hits.
At the plate for the Tigers, Keaton Parker was 1-for-2 with one run, Tripp Floyd was 1-for-3 with one run. Chris Jones was 2-for-3 with one run and Jared Cooper was 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
Ryan Gray was 1-for-2 with one RBI and Todd Mayo was 1-for-2 with one run scored. Jones Manning was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
