More than 120 runners and walkers took to the sidewalks around Brewton Saturday as the annual 5K Walk/Run for a Cure was hosted by D.W. McMillan Hospital’s Relay for Life Team.

Organizers say as many as 128 competitors in a wide range of age divisions were involved in the event.

The first male to finish the event was Brandon Nelson  who finished the event he participated in along with family members and classmates from the University of West Alabama.
