Floyd ‘Buddy’ Turberville

Floyd Buddy Turberville, 57, died Monday, April 9, 2012 at his residence. He was a native and long time resident of Uriah. He retired from the Department of Transportation, and was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Benson Turberville; two brothers, Carl Ray Turberville and Mike Turberville; and a sister, Eloise Turberville. He is survived by his mother, Anna Mae Turberville of Uriah; his wife, Marcine Turberville of Uriah; a son, Brian Johnson of Frisco City; a stepson, Rocky Rutherford of Uriah; three brothers, Elbert Turberville of Excel, and Wesley Turberville and Arnold Turberville, both of Uriah; three sisters, JoAnn Taylor and Frances Phillips, both of Uriah, and Earnestine Browning of Huxford. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 11, at 10 a.m. at Petty Eastside Chapel. Burial will follow at Uriah cemetery, with Petty Eastside Chapel directing. Pallbearers will be, Greg McGhee, Brandon Ryan, J.P. Hadley, Benji Turberville and Brian Turberville. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Bennie Rhodes, Curtis Harris, Jamie Phillips, Larry Norris, Donald Baggett and Greg Sehan.
