TRM softball beats Pleasant Home

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball team jumped out to an early lead at Pleasant Home Tuesday but had to get a two-run win in extra innings.
The Lady Tigers improved to 16-9 after taking down Pleasant Home 16-14 in eight innings. The two teams combined for 20 hits in the game.
T.R. Miller led 6-0 after the first inning and 9-2 after two innings. Leading 10-2 after the top of the third, Pleasant Home scored five in the bottom of the inning to cut the lead to 10-7 and added three in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game and force extra innings after a scoreless seventh inning for both teams.
In the extra frame, T.R. Miller plated six runs and held on for the two-run win after Pleasant Home scored four of their own.
At the plate for T.R. Miller, Audrey Hamric was 2-for-6 while Kelsey Thompson was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. Krystal Bell was 1-for-4 with one RBI and Takeysia McFugerson was 1-for-4. Lauren Ward was 1-for-5 with two RBIs and Taylor Austin was 1-for-4 with one RBI.
Laurel Billy was 2-for-5 with a double and five RBIs and Alli Taylor was 3-for-5 with one RBI.
Billy and Austin pitched in the win with Austin being the pitcher of record.
Billy allowed three hits two earned runs, walked two and struck out none in two innings while Austin went six innings and allowed four hits, 11 runs, six earned, walked seven and struck out three.
