Brewton Heat doubles up Blazin’ Babes 14-7 Monday

The Brewton softball Heat team doubled up the Blazin’ Babes 14-7 in their Monday night game.
The Babes scored five runs in the first inning while the Heat scored four in the second, eight in the third and two in the fourth to take a 14-5 lead. The Babes would add two runs in the fifth inning to cut the lead in half before falling by seven to take the loss.
Myra Reiss earned the win on the mound for the Heat going five innings and allowing three hits, striking out two, walked two and the team made four errors.
Mallori Floyd was the pitcher of record for the Babes while Anna Kate Brittain also pitched.
Floyd went 4 1/3 innings and allowed six hits, struck out four, walked two and the team made two errors. Brittain went 2/3 of an inning and allowed one hit, struck out one and walked three.
At the plate for the Heat, Hannah Lisenby was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs while Anna Grace White was 1-for-2 with one run scored and two RBIs.
Reiss was 2-for-3 with one run scored and two RBIs and Madison Douglas was 1-for-2 with two runs scored. Desiree Lambert was 1-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI and Alexis King scored two runs in the win.
Jakyra Spears scored one run, Jessica Southworth scored two runs, Anna Collins and Brionna Dees scored one run each.
For the Babes, Floyd was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI while Gabbi Soloman was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI. Caitlyn Smith and Tess Thomas scored one run each.
The Heat improved to 3-2 with the win while the Babes fell to 2-2.
