The 2012 Brewton Babe Ruth baseball team will see their season start Tuesday, May 8.
The league will have four teams this summer—the Braves, Padres, Phillies and Astros.
The league will play on Tuesdays and Thursdays through June 14 and will play a doubleheader each night. T.R. Miller’s baseball field and Johnson Park will host the games each Tuesday and Thursday.
Games will start at 5:30 p.m. each night through May 17 with games starting at 5 p.m. beginning May 22 through the end of the season. The scheduled shows 12 playing dates with 24 total games being played for each team.
The roster for the Brave includes: Miles Powell, Hunter Harp, Robin Swift, Malcolm Hawthorne, River Johnson, Christian Mancil, Joseph Booker, O’Neil White, Keaton Parker, Todd Mayo, Lowell Swain, and Alex O’Keane. Manager will be Thomas Harp and assistant coach is Joey Booker.
For the Padres: Christopher Jones, Rob Jones, Justin Sessions, Colton Morris, Brooks Brown, Lane Chavers, Christian Alvarez, Nicholas Glass, Hunter Colley, Tyler Hoomes, Landon Salter, and Jonathan Lucas. Manager will be Rucker Brown and assistant coach is Robert Jones.
For the Phillies: James Peach, Ethan Bollenbacher, Jake Najor, Tripp Floyd, Jared Cooper, Jordan Williams, Tyshawn Davis, Joshua Winton, Caleb Winton, Hunter Brittain, Sam Frazier, Tyler Baxter. Jacob Salter will serve as manager with assistant coach being Colin Graves and Randy Winton.
For the Astros: Tyler Joyner, Mike Williams, Tim McDonald, Taylor Elliott, Jones Manning, Dakota Graves, Dylan Etheridge, Dalton Shell, Tyler Reid, Stokes Jennings, Lane Clarke, Derrick Barton. Manager will be David Jennings and assistant coach will be Howard Joyner and Mark Manning.
