Brewton Yankees get three wins, Angels down Mets in recent CR action

The Brewton Cal Ripken baseball Yankees picked up three wins in their recent three games while the Angels took down the Mets to get a win.
On Monday, May 7, the Yankees earned a 13-run win over the East Brewton Tigers and followed that with an 8-3 win over Flomaton No. 2 Thursday night. Also on Thursday, the Yankees claimed a 17-6 win over the East Brewton Cardinals while the Angels took down the Mets 9-5.

Yankees 16, East Brewton Tigers 3
Cole Jernigan went 2-for-3 with an inside-the-park homerun and scored two runs in the Yankees 16-3 win over the East Brewton Tigers.
Along with Jernigan, Logan Bush was 1-for-4 and scored two runs while J.D. Hartin was 1-for-2 and also scored two runs. Brandon Coleman was 1-for-3 and scored one run while Jaxson Flores with was 2-for-3 with one run scored.
Blake Jernigan scored three runs and Landon Qualls scored two. Stone Martin, Mac Baxter and Earl Dolihite all scored one run each.
Logan Bush got the win on the mound going four innings and allowed three runs, two hits, walked two and struck out eight.
For the Tigers, Jordan Crane was 1-for-2 with one run scored and Jacob Bondurant was 1-for-2. Caleb Sexton scored two runs in the loss.
The East Brewton Tigers used a trio of pitching in Dylan Ingram, Marcus Dillard and Turk Martin.
The trio went four innings and allowed eight hits, 16 runs, walked 12 and struck out five.

Yankees 8, Flomaton Two 3
In their game against Flomaton Two, the Yankees came away with an 8-3 win.
Earl Dolihite was 1-for-2 with a triple and scored one run and Stone Martin was 1-for-2 with one run scored.
Blake Jernigan was 1-for-1 with a triple and scored one run while Logan Bush was 1-for-3 and scored two runs.
Landon Qualls added a double while Brandon Coleman, Jaxson Flores and Mac Baxter added one run each.
On the mound, Flores went two innings and allowed no runs, no hits, walked four and struck out six. J.D. Hartin went two innings and allowed one hit, three runs, walked five and struck out one.
For Flomaton, Rowdy Rutherford was 1-for-3 while Hunter Wilson, Tristin Lee, and Drew Odom scored one run each.
Wilson and Joseph O’Bannon pitched a combined three innings and allowed eight runs, five hits, walked three and struck out six.

Yankees 17, East Brewton Cardinals 6
The Yankees made it 3-for-3 in the win column as they downed the Cardinals of East Brewton 17-6.
For the Yankees, Logan Bush was 1-for-3 and scored three runs and J.D. Hartin was 2-for-3 and scored two runs.
Blake Jernigan was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and Stone Martin was 1-for-2 with two runs scored. Brandon Smith went 1-for-3 with one run scored and Cole Jernigan and Landon Qualls both scored two runs each while Brandon Coleman, Jaxson Flores and Earl Dolihite scored one run each.
On the mound, Blake Jernigan went three innings and allowed six runs, one hit, walked two and struck out six.
For the Cardinals, Samuel Bosarge went 1-for-2 and scored one run while Brian Parker, Konner Wood, Andrew Haymons, Troy McCall, and Caleb Briggs scored one run each.
Wood and Sammy Wright pitched a combined three innings and allowed 15 runs on seven hits, walked nine and struck out four.

Angels 9, Mets 5
The Angels edged out the Mets by four in their recent game, 9-5.
Drew Williamson was 3-for-3 with a double and two singles and Andrew Etheridge was 2-for-3 with two singles. Russell Smith was 1-for-2 with a homerun and Daniel Blair was 1-for-3 with a double. Trentez Johnson also went 1-for-3 with a single.
Williamson pitched five innings and gave up four hits, struck out seven, and walked one. Smith pitched one inning and gave up no hits, walked one, and struck out two.
For the Mets, Micah Flores went 2-for-3 with a single and a double and Jason Konsler was 2-for-3 with a triple and a double.
Konsler pitched three innings and he gave up three hits, struck out seven, and walked two.
Cameron Pope pitched one inning and gave up no hits, walked three, and struck out two.
Joseph Blackburn pitched one inning and gave up five hits, struck out two, and walked two.
