Jefferson Davis Community College can move forward in their efforts to increase literacy in Escambia County thanks to the contributions of shoppers at regional Dollar General retail outlets.
A grant valued at $15,000 was awarded to JDCC from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. The grant will be used to fund programs aimed at literacy and adult education programs at the college.
The Dollar General Literacy Foundation awards grants to organizations in communities served by Dollar General.
