The Brewton Babe Ruth Braves swept the Phillies Tuesday night in East Brewton to improve their record this season to 6-4 and take second place behind the first place Astros.
The Braves took game one 13-11 and took game two 7-5 to get the sweep. The Phillies dropped to 1-9 with the losses.
Information and stats from the Astros and Padres were not known as of press time.
Games will resume Thursday with the Astros and Phillies playing at T.R. Miller in Brewton and the Braves and Padres playing in East Brewton at Johnson Park. Games will begin at 5 p.m.

Braves 13, Phillies 11
In a slugfest in game one between the Braves and the Phillies, the Braves rallied late and held on to get the two-run win, 13-11.
The Phillies led the Braves 2-0 after the first inning, 3-1 after the second and 8-5 after the third inning after scoring six runs in the bottom of the inning.
After a scoreless fourth inning, the Braves used a five-run fifth inning to claim a 10-9 lead over the Phillies heading into the sixth inning.
In the sixth, the Braves outscored the Phillies 3-2 to get the win.
At the plate for the Braves, Robin Swift was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a triple while Hunter Harp was 1-for-3 with one RBI along with Todd Mayo. Jo Jo Booker went 1-for-4 with one RBI and Miles Powell was 1-for-2.
For the Phillies, Tripp Floyd was 1-for-4 as was Jake Najor who had a double and one RBI.
Jared Cooper was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and Hunter Brittain was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a triple.
James Peach went 1-for-3 with one RBI and Ethan Bollenbacher had one RBI in the loss.
Booker earned the win on the mound for the Braves as he went 4 1/3 innings and allowed four hits, nine runs, three earned, walked three and struck out five.
Mayo and Harp also pitched in the win and went the remainder of the game and combined to allow two hits, two runs, two earned, walked one and struck out two.
For the Phillies, Cooper took the loss going six innings and allowing six hits, 13 runs, six earned, walked 10 and struck out five.

Braves 7, Phillies 5
In game two, the Phillies held an early lead before surrendering the lead to the Braves in the third inning.
The Phillies led 3-0 after the first inning and 3-2 after the second before giving up three runs to the Braves in the third to fall behind 5-3.
From there, the Braves would lead 7-4 after the fifth inning and held on for the win after the Phillies added their final run in the top of the seventh.
For the Phillies at the plate, Floyd was 2-for-2, Najor was 2-for-4, Cooper was 2-for-3 with one RBI, Brittain and Peach had one RBI each, Caleb Winton was 1-for-3 and Bollenbacher was 1-for-2.
For the Braves, Keaton Parker was 3-for-3 with a double and Booker was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Malcolm Hawthorne was 1-for-2 with one RBI, Harp was 1-for-3 with three RBIs, Powell was 1-for-3, and Alex O’Keane was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
On the mound for the Phillies, Caleb Winton took the loss going five innings and allowing eight hits, seven earned runs, walked one and struck out six.
Jordan Williams went one inning and struck out two.
For the Braves, O’Keane continued his hot streak on the mound as he went seven innings and allowed eight hits, five runs, four earned, walked and struck out four.
