Youth softball ends

The following is a roundup of games from recent softball games played at the Brewton YMCA Sports Park:

Thunder 19, Flomaton 6
The Brewton Thunder softball team pounded Flomaton in a recent game 19-6.
The Thunder scored eight runs in the first inning and added 11 the rest of the game while holding Flomaton to one run in the first and five in the second.
For the Thunder in the win, Steely Ruzic scored three runs along with Leanna Rikard, Kennedy Harp and Amaiya Jounson.

Heat 9, Blazin’ Babes 8
In a game between the Heat and the Babes, the Heat edged the Babes out for a one-run win, 9-8.
For the Heat, Anna Grace White and Myra Reiss scored twice while Mallori Floyd scored twice for the Babes.

Blazin’ Babes 24, Thunder 14
In a game that saw 38 combined runs, the Babes took down the Thunder by 10, 24-14.
For the Thunder, Grace Ruzic, Bethany McDonald, Hayley Thompson and Hailey Daniel all scored twice along with Rikard.
For the Babes, Morgan Longmire, Gabbi Soloman, Floyd, Anna Kate Brittain, Rudy Watson and Katelynn Smith all scored three times.

Heat 19, Canes 10
The Heat picked up another win as they downed the Canes of Flomaton 19-9.
Madison Douglas and Reiss scored three times along with Brionna Dees.

Orioles 9, Heat 4
Facing off against the Orioles of East Brewton, the Heat lost 9-4.
The Orioles scored two runs in the second, three in the third and two each in the fourth and fifth while holding the Heat to one run in the first and fifth innings and two in the sixth.
For the Orioles, Tori Wyatt had a single, Erin Hartsel had a triple and a single, Haleigh Dubose had two singles and a homerun, Heather Redash added two singles and Thomas added two singles. Richerson had two singles and Sessions had a single.
For the Heat, Douglas had two singles, Reiss had a single, Desiree Lambert had a single along with Ladonna Washington.

Phillies 17, Blasters 9
The East Brewton Phillies added a win to their record as they took down the Blasters by eight, 17-9.
For the Blasters, Tiffany Reiss and Kaleigh Thompson scored twice. Reiss had two singles, Hannah McFerrin added two doubles and a single and Thompson had two singles.
For the Phillies, Reeves had a triple and a two singles and Lanier had three singles.
Jackson had two singles and a double while Morton added two singles.
Adams added three singles and Davis had three singles. Moulder had two singles and Wiggins had three singles. Dunaway added two singles and Kiser had a single.

Athletics 18, Cherry Bombs 18
The Athletics and Cherry Bombs came away with an 18-18 tie.
Both teams scored six runs in the first inning and second inning and added six more in the third.
For the Cherry Bombs, Kelsi Lum, Baileigh Douglas, Kaleigh Folson, JaNazsia Nettle, Makenna Rowell, Ella Hart, Blair Rikard and Madison Lum all had hits.
For the Athletics, Ashley, Brianna, Natalie, Caitlin, Lexie, Brea, Baileight, Katelynn and Megan all had hits.

Dodgers 17, Canes 14
In another high scoring game, the Dodgers took down the Canes by three, 17-14.
The Dodgers scored five runs in the first, six in the second and six more in the third to get the win.
Caitlyn Chavers, Makayla Crook, and Kendall Carpenter all scored three times.

Cherry Bombs 12, Rip Tide 11
The Cherry Bombs scored six runs each in the first and second inning while the Rip Tide added five in the first and six in the second to fall by one.
Makenna Rowell, Blair Rikard, Madison Lum and Lyberti Bradley scored twice.
For the Rip Tide, Abigail Cave, Addie Smith and Kalee all scored twice.

Phillies 15, Dodgers 8
In a battle between the Phillies and the Dodgers, the Phillies earned a 15-8 win.
For the Dodgers, Shana Driskell, Caitlin Chavers, Makayla Crook, Kendall Carpenter, Madison White, Lyndsey Lee, and Kaylee Hunter all had hits.
For the Phillies, Tatum Reeves, Al Lanier, Jackson, Adams, Davis, Moulder, Daniel, Colley, Kiser and Wiggins all had hits.

Blasters 9, Rip Tide 8
The Brewton Blasters edged out the Rip Tide 9-8.
Hannah McFerrin, Tiffany Reiss, Sara Scott, Kaleigh Thompsonm Mackenzie, and Alexis Brownlee all had hits.
For the Rip Tide, Sailor Smith, Abigail Cave, Addie Smith, Madison Tremer, Savannah Dillehay, Bolanile Sajna, and Hannah Henry all had hits.

Blasters 13, Cherry Bombs 12
The Brewton Blasters edged out the Cherry Bombs 13-12.
For the Cherry Bombs, Ella Hart scored three times while Sara Scott, Mackenzie, Jennings, Jada, Kaleigh and Alexis Brownlee all scored twice.

Dodgers 10, Rip Tide 8
In the final game, the Dodgers defeated the Rip Tide 10-8.
For the Dodgers, Kaylee and Shana scored twice while Sailor Smith and Makenna Rowell scored twice for the Rip Tide.
