Douglas Wayne Steele

Mr. Douglas Wayne Steele, 62, of Foshee Road, died Friday, June 1, 2012 in a Pensacola, Fla., hospice facility after an extended illness.
He was a native and long-time resident of Escambia County and a graduate of Flomaton High School. He retired from the U.S. Air Force with 21 years of service and was a maintenance manager at Flomaton Woods Apartments for 16 years.
He was an American Legion Sergeant at Arms and was of Protestant faith.
He is survived by mother, Marie Steele of Flomaton; wife, Brenda Presley of Brewton; two daughters, Amanda Barnes of Brewton and Summer Steele of Wyoming; three brothers, Harvey Steele, Wendell Steele and Randy Steele, all of Brewton; two sisters, Debbie Worrell of Brooklyn and Margaret Morris of Flomaton; and one grandson, Tyler Barnes.
Visitation was held Monday, June 4 at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 5 at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Speaker Joe Chavers and Speaker Susan Graves officiating.
Burial followed in Beulah Cemetary with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral home directing.
