Rain and storms are expected to continue throughout the day Sunday for the Brewton area.

According to the National Weather Service, a line of strong storms from 20 miles north of Monroeville to 10 miles west of Evergreen to 10 miles northwest of Milton was expected to impact those areas, with the primary threat of the storms being strong winds up to 55 mph.

Thanks to the heavy rainfall, employees at the Brewton Walmart were working to push water out of the front of the store Sunday morning. The store remained open and was only slightly flooded near the entrance.
