Brewton and EB 12U all-stars to play in Brewton

The Brewton YMCA Sports Park will be the host of a seven-team 12U all-star tournament beginning Thursday night.
Brewton will host the tournament and be joined by Tri-County, Andalusia, Covington County, East Brewton, Opp and Evergreen. Flomaton recently pulled out of the tournament.
The tournament will begin Thursday at 6 p.m. when Tri-County and Andalusia meet.
The winner of Thursday’s game will meet Covington County at noon Saturday, June 23.
East Brewton and Opp will start things off Friday at 6 p.m. and will be followed by Brewton and Evergreen at 8 p.m.
The two winners from Friday’s games will meet at 2 p.m. Saturday.
On Saturday, the losers of the East Brewton/Opp game will take on the loser of Brewton and Evergreen at 10 a.m. That game will be followed by the Tri-County/Andalusia winner taking on Covington County at noon. Following the noon contest will be the East Brewton/Opp winner taking on the Brewton/Evergreen winner at 2 p.m.
Games will continue at 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday with the tournament resuming Sunday at 2, 4 and 6 p.m.
The championship game will be played Monday at 6 p.m. with the extra “if-needed” game set for 8 p.m.
Making all-stars for the 2012 Brewton 12U Cal Ripken team is: Drew Williamson, Micah Flores, Matt Smith, Russell Smith, Jason Konsler, Hayden Atkinson, Daniel Blair, Daniel Reed, Hunter Johnson, Donovan Weaver, and Andrew Etheridge.
Making the 12U team for East Brewton is: Connor Huskey, Brandon Moye, Matt Hutchins, Hunter Revel, Christian Taylor, Aaron Bosarge, Patrick Lovelace, Jacobey Hawthorne, Austin Majors, Jeremy Sims and Weston Riddle.
John Majors and Alex Hawthorne will be the coaches while Danny Parker will serve as manager.
