The 2012 East Brewton 10U all-stars saw their postseason end Monday night in Evergreen with a 15-7 loss in extra innings to Covington County
East Brewton started their tournament Friday after regular scheduled tournament games were cancelled due to weather conditions in the area Thursday.
In their first game Friday against Andalusia, East Brewton lost 12-2. Andalusia led East Brewton 5-2 late in the game before adding seven runs in the fourth inning.
In a loser’s bracket game Saturday, East Brewton stayed alive with an 8-5 win over Tri-County.
In their game Sunday, East Brewton took down N.W. Escambia 13-1.
Overall, East Brewton went 2-2 in the tournament.

Monday: CC 15, EB 7—eight innings
In a back-and-forth game that was tied at 6 after six innings, East Brewton and Covington County went into extra innings Monday night with EB falling to a nine-run eighth inning for CC to take the loss.
East Brewton led Covington County early 2-0 before falling behind 4-2 in the second inning.
East Brewton would rally in the third inning with two runs to tie the game at 4-all before being outscored 2-1 in the fourth to trail 6-5.
East Brewton would plate one run in the fifth inning to tie the game at 6-6 heading into the final inning.
In the top of the sixth, Covington County would strand the possible winning run at third base, but East Brewton led the bases loaded in the bottom of the inning as the game went into the seventh inning.
After holding CC scoreless in the top of the seventh, East Brewton once again had their chance to win the game in the bottom half of the inning, but stranded the winning run at third base.
With the game now in the eighth inning, Covington County pounded out nine runs in the inning on three hits, two EB errors, five walks and a hit batter to take a 15-6 lead over East Brewton heading into the bottom of the eighth inning.
With their backs against the wall and their season on the brink of elimination and the time approaching 11 p.m., East Brewton’s season was approaching midnight as they were held to only one run in the inning to fall by eight, 15-7, and get eliminated.
At the plate for East Brewton, Jennings Hobbs had the hot bat as he pounded out four singles and had one RBI. Samuel Bosarge added a single and one RBI along with Dylan Ingram. Konner Wood added a single in the loss.
Hobbs got the start on the mound and the no decision as he went six innings and allowed five hits, six runs, walked two and struck out eight.
Ingram went 1 2/3 innings and was the pitcher of record as he allowed one hit, five runs, walked and struck out four and hit two batters.
Issac Smith went the final 2/3 innings and allowed three hits, four runs, and walked one.

Friday: Andalusia 12, EB 2
In game one of the tournament for East Brewton Friday night against Andalusia, EB fell to a seven-run fourth inning to suffer the 10-run loss, 12-2.
At the plate for East Brewton, Bosarge, Ingram, Jacob Bondurant, Hobbs, and Wood all had hits.
Ingram and Bondurant scored one run each for East Brewton.
On the mound for East Brewton, Ingram, Smith and Bondurant pitched.
Andalusia led East Brewton 2-1 after the first inning, 5-1 after the second, 5-2 after third and 12-2 after four innings.

Saturday: EB 8, Tri-County 5
Trailing 4-3 after four innings in an elimination game against Tri-County Saturday, East Brewton scored five runs in the fifth inning to get an 8-5 win and advance to play Sunday.
EB trailed 2-1 after the first inning and 3-1 after the second before cutting the lead to 4-3 in the fourth and using the big fifth inning to seal the win.
Bosarge had two hits for East Brewton while Smith and Bondurant added one each.
Hobbs pitched in the win for East Brewton.

Sunday: EB 13, NWE 1
Good pitching and hitting was the combination used by East Brewton Sunday night as they walloped N.W. Escambia 13-1.
EB used goof pitching from Ingram and Wood as the duo allowed only one run on three hits in the entire game.
EB sent 16 batters to the plate in the second inning and scored 12 runs on six hits to turn a 1-0 lead into a 13-0 and help propel them to the 12-run win.
For East Brewton at the plate, Bosarge, Hobbs, Smith, Bondurant, Samuel Wright and Caleb Briggs all had hits.
Sexton and Wright scored two runs each while Bosarge scored three times. Six other East Brewton players scored one run each in the big win.
