James Eulice Cowan

Mr. James Eulice Cowan, 60, of Lowery Landing Road, died Friday, June 22, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Jamestown, and a former resident of Altoona, before moving to Brewton, in 2006. He was a member of Victory Christian Center and a retired heavy equipment operator in the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Cowan of Brewton; a son, James (Tracey) Cowan of Arab; a daughter, Rachel Cowan of Altoona; two stepsons, Tommy (Kim) Thompson and Waylon (Kim) Thompson, both of Brewton; special friends, Rich, Lisa, Lexie and Paige Sindelar of Brewton; five brothers, Bill (Diane) Cowan, Eddie (Janet) Cowan, and Lester (Polly) Cowan, all of Altoona, Robert Cowan of Albertville and Pee Wee (Linda) Cowan of Oneonta; a sister, Patricia (Wyman) Cash of Atalla, Alabama; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 24, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with theĀ  Rev. Andy Peavy and the Rev. Steve Massingill officiating. Burial followed in Glory Hill Cemetery in Brewton with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
