Thomas Alex ‘Tommy’ Adams Jr.

Mr. Thomas Alex ‘Tommy’ Adams Jr., 54, of Flomaton, died Friday, June 29, 2012 at a Pensacola, Fla., hospital after an extended illness.
He was a native of Kosiesco, Miss., and a 1972 graduate of Weir High School. He had been a resident of the Flomaton community for 30 years where he was actively involved with Little Escambia Baptist Church. He was an employee of the Escambia County School Board and was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Faye Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Turk Adams of Flomaton; his father, Thomas Alex Adams Sr. of Foley; a son, Samuel Adams of Flomaton; a daughter, Stacy (Clint) Patterson of Flomaton; brothers, David Adams of Foley, and Shane Adams of Flomaton; a sister, Sissy McBride of Uriah; grandchildren, Austin Patterson, Dylan Patterson, Hayley Adams, Max Adams, Layla Sims, Lilly Sims, and a great-grandchild, Noah Patterson.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 2, at Little Escambia Baptist Church at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Doug Hogg and the Rev. Larry Patterson officating.  Burial followed at Little Escambia Cemetery, with Flomaton Funeral Home dircting.
Pallbearers will be Josh Lambeth, Hunter Hobbs, Ronnie Fore, Kevin Knowles, Joey Mitchell, Jared Morris, Curt Bell, Brian Conway.
Flowers are being accepted but donations or contributions may be made to the Escambia County Bank on behalf of Noah Patterson.
