Second-year W.S. Neal Lady Eagle head coach Jeff Haney said Wednesday’s games were kind of a tale of two teams.
“We didn’t play well all day until the last game,” Haney said. “We gave the best team we played all day a great game. We played well in the last one and I think the talk after lunch seemed to really help the girls some. The whole thing is just a learning experience for us. It gives us a chance to see what we need to work on in our weeks of practice before our first game. We have a lot to work on. I have three seniors and we are relying on sophomores and freshmen to fill the void there. We have a lot of stuff to fix but this camp helps us get things heading into that direction.”
Schools in Alabama can begin practicing for their fall season on Thursday, Aug. 6. W.S. Neal will begin their 2012 season Thursday, Aug. 23 with a game at Excel.
