The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball has seen some tough sledding in their first few games of the 2012 season and Monday night at home, against the No. 1 team in the state, things were really tough.
Facing off against the top-ranked Bayside Admirals, T.R. Miller lost 3-0 to fall to 0-3 in area play and to 3-4 overall.
The Lady Tigers lost 25-6, 25-8 and 25-12.
“I told the girls before we started to come out and fight to the end,” T.R Miller Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said. “Playing hard against Bayside will help us out down the road against somebody else. We played hard at times. You have to give Bayside credit. They are good and they are good at what they do. We had some bright spots as far as hustle was concerned. I was OK with that. It was a tough opponent tonight and we just have to play a little tougher the next time. We will see them again in the next couple of weeks. We just have to bow up a little more next time.”
In JV action Monday, T.R. Miller lost 2-0. The Lady Tigers dropped set one 25-23 and set two 25-17.
T.R. Miller will play at Cottage Hill Monday before returning home Tuesday to take on Pleasant Home.
