TRM cross country runs at Gulf Coast Stampede

The T.R. Miller cross country teams competed in the Gulf Coast Stampede Saturday in Pensacola and had teams compete in the JV boys and girls 5K and the varsity boys and girls 5K.
In the JV boys race, the Tigers had five runners compete in the race and the team finished in 20th place.
In the JV girls race, the Lady Tigers had three runners in the event, but did not compete as a team.
In the varsity boys race, the Tigers had seven runners run in the race and finish 29th.
In the varsity girls race, seven Lady Tigers ran in the race, as T.R. Miller placed 11th out of 35 teams.
Leading the way for T.R. Miller in the JV boys race was Stewart Campbell who placed 159th with a time of 23:44.70. Nash Diercks placed 178th with a time of 23:36.30 and Noah Morris came in 221st place with a time of 26:48.40.
Gavin McNeil ran a time of 30:13.70 for 231st place and Garrett Cave came in 240th place with a time of 34:38.10.
In the JV girls race, Shelby Evans led T.R. Miller with a 53rd place finish and a time of 27:14.90.
Auburn Schoonover came in 65th place with a time of 27:57.50 and Auburn Jernigan ran a time of 29:31.90 for 83rd place.
In varsity boys action, Rob Stokes led T.R. Miller with a 28th place and a time of 17:26.20. Christian Carlson finished in 99th place for T.R. Miller with a time of 18:51.20. Carter Frezell finished with a time of 21:31.10 for 228th place and John West came in 229th place with a time of 21:31.40.
Dillon Simmons, Travis Carlson and Ryan Snowden rounded out the Tigers in the race. Simmons finished with a time of 22:56.50 for 263rd place while Carlson ran a time of 23:03.30 for 265th place. Snowden placed 266th with a time of 23:13.10.
In the girls race, Karisa Nelson led the Lady Tigers with a third place finish and a time of 19:15.80. Allie Nelson placed 16th with a time of 20:24.90 and Katie Nelson placed 54th with a time of 21:46.10. Amber Terry placed 131st with a time of 24:07.60 and Lindsay Norton ran a time of 24:29.80 for 147th place. Peyton Baxter finished in 177th place with a time of 25:12.60 and Morgan Rowell finished in 237th place with a time of 27:26.80.
The teams will run again Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Pace and will also run Saturday at Montgomery Academy at 8 a.m.
