WSN B-team football falls in first game

After seeing their first several games of the 2012 season cancelled for various reasons, the W.S. Neal B-team played in their first game Monday night at home and took a 34-0 loss to the Andalusia Bulldogs to start the season 0-1.
The visiting Bulldogs of Andalusia racked up 357 total yards of offense in the win over the Eagles. Andalusia had 297 yards of rushing offense with 60 coming in the air.
Andalusia rushed for 146 yards in the first half and had five yards passing for a total of 151 yards of offense. In the second half, Andalusia rushed for 151 yards and passed for 55 yards for a total of 206 total yards.
Andalusia led W.S. Neal 14-0 after the first quarter and 20-0 at the half after Andalusia scored six points in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, Andalusia increased their lead to 27-0 and added seven more points in the fourth quarter to get the win by 34.
W.S. Neal was held to only 66 yards of total offense in the loss with all yardage coming on the ground.
W.S. Neal had 40 yards rushing in the first half and 26 in the second half.
Leading W.S. Neal in the loss was Daquan Kiser. Kiser had 76 yards on 24 carries. Tyquis Collins had one rush for two yards in the loss.
Quarterback Lane Chavers was 0-for-3 with one interception.
Andalusia’s touchdowns came on runs of 50 yards, one yard, 60 yards and six yards. The Bulldogs had a passing touchdown of 47 yards.
W.S. Neal will be back in action Monday, Oct. 1 at T.R. Miller in Brewton. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. in Brewton.
T.R. Miller is currently 1-1 this season after picking up their first win of the season Monday night at Hillcrest 28-26. No stats from that game was known as of press time.
