Pleasant Homes takes down TRM varsity and JV volleyball

Facing off against Pleasant Home Tuesday at home, the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger JV and varsity teams each took a loss while the Brewton Middle School Lady Tigers earned a win.
BMS defeated Pleasant Home 2-0 to improve to 7-0 this season while the JV Lady Tigers lost 2-1 to fall to 3-6.
In varsity action, T.R. Miller lost 3-2 to fall to 3-6 this season.
In the deciding game five, T.R. Miller was up on Pleasant Home 10-6 before losing 15-13.
T.R. Miller is scheduled to host W.S. Neal Thursday at home at 4, 5, and 6 p.m. with the middle school, JV and varsity teams playing. The middle school game Thursday is the final game of the season for Brewton.
On Monday, Oct. 1, T.R. Miller will travel to No. 1 Bayside Academy for an area game. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m. with the JV teams playing followed by a 5:30 p.m. start for the varsity teams.

BMS 2, PH 0
With one more game left on their schedule, the Brewton Middle School Lady Tiger volleyball team remained undefeated Tuesday with a 2-0 win over Pleasant Home.
BMS defeated Pleasant Home 25-13 in set one and 25-16 in set two.
In set one, Taylor Austin had seven service points while Steely Ruzic and Cortney Lisenby had five service points each.
In set two, Ruzic had 11 service points, Mary Madison Brown had five and Bethany McDonald added four.

PH 2, TRM JV 1
In JV action, Pleasant Home won the first set 25-16 before T.R. Miller evened the match up a 1-1 with a 25-15 in set two. In the deciding set three, Pleasant Home took the win with a 15-10 win.
Morgan Manning and Brittany Warren led T.R. Miller with four service points each in set one. In set two, Hannah Weaver had eight service points, Manning had six along with Amelia Peach. Morgan Rowell had six kills.
In set three, Becca Evans led with three service points in the loss.

PH 3, TRM varsity 2
In varsity action, T.R. Miller dropped their third straight game to fall to 3-6.
T.R. Miller won the first set 25-18 before losing set two 25-19 and set three 25-22.
In the fourth set, T.R. Miller won 25-21 before losing 15-10 in the fifth set.
In set one, Takeysia McFugerson and Moriah Brundidge had five service points. Brundidge had seven assists.
In set two, McFugerson led with four service points. In set three, Laurel Billy had six service points and Brundidge added five.
In the four set win for T.R. Miller, Amber Terry led with four service points and three kills while Abbi Roberts had three service points and seven kills.
In the fifth set, McFugerson led with five points and Roberts had five kills.
