TRM B-team football beats WSN 40-0

The T.R. Miller Tiger football B-team scored 20 points in the first quarter and got five W.S. Neal turnovers to defeat the Eagles 40-0 Monday night in East Brewton.
T.R. Miller scored 20 points in the first quarter and 12 in the second to lead W.S. Neal 32-0 at the half. In the second half, the Tigers scored eight points in the third and both teams were held scoreless in the fourth as the Tigers roared to the 40-point win. Of the five W.S. Neal turnovers in the loss three came on interceptions and two on fumbles.
The Tigers racked up 191 yards in the win and held W.S. Neal to 99 yard. T.R. Miller had 118 yards in the first half with 70 rushing and 48 passing. In the second half, the Tigers totaled 26 rushing and 47 passing for a total of 73 yards.
For W.S. Neal, the Eagles had 32 yards in the first half with 26 rushing and 6 passing. In the second half, the Eagles totaled 67 yards rushing—all coming on the ground.
Markail Mitchell led T.R. Miller rushing with 43 yards on 11 carries. Tamerick Jenkins had 27 yards on three carries and two touchdowns. Jenkins also had a 69-yard punt return for the Tigers second touchdown of the night.
Ahmaud Taylor added 21 yards on five carries.
Tiger quarterback Jones Manning accounted for three touchdowns in the win. Manning threw two touchdown passes—one 23 yards and one 47 yards—and also had a 5-yard rushing score in the second quarter to put T.R. Miller up 32-0 at the half.
Mitchell had one receiving touchdown for 23 yards and Marquise Thomas had one catch for 25 yards. Derrick Murray had a touchdown catch of 47 yards.
For W.S. Neal, Daquan Kiser led the Eagles rushing with 64 yards on 16 carries. Antwan Jones had 29 yards on four carries.
Lane Chavers was 1-for-4 passing with six yards and two interceptions. Jones was 0-for-3 with one interception. Terrell Williams had the lone catch of the night for the Eagles for six yards.
Last Monday in Brewton, the Tigers defeated W.S. Neal 22-6. T.R. Miller ended their season with a 3-1 record while W.S. Neal fell to 0-3.
The Eagles will play their final game of the season Monday, Oct. 29 at Hillcrest. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. in Evergreen.
