Mrs. Rosetta G. Flowers, 87, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013. She was a native and life-long resident of Wawbeek. She attended Sardis Baptist Church and held various positions over the years at the Sardis Wawbeek Volunteer Fire Department.
She is survived by a son, John Flowers of Wawbeek; a daughter, Marietta Johnson of Wawbeek; a brother, Stanley Godwin of Brewton; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Earle Greene and the Rev. Jimmy Colley officiating.
Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Scott Barrow, John Hawthorne, Ronnie Marshall, Rick Bracken, Eric Jerkins and J.R. Godwin.
Honorary pallbearer will be Wendall Carnley.
