Leading by five points at the half, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball team was outscored by 10 points in the second half to suffer a 62-57 loss at LBW Thursday in Andalusia.
JDCC led the Saints 38-33 after the first half, but was outscored 29-19 in the second to drop their second straight game and fall to 1-12 overall and to 1-2 in conference play.
“We were up by one with 53 seconds to play and didn’t score again,” JDCC head coach Allen Gainer said. “Too many empty possessions with turnovers and gave up too many offensive rebounds.”

Dee Jay Braggs, Chris Oden and Adrian Rich all followed with eight points. Anthony Bell finished with four points while R.J. Bowers and Keaynon Gulley both chipped in two points.
Braggs, Oden and Rich all had six rebounds each while Oden led with seven assists.
Braggs, Rich and Kenny Nabors all had one block each.
Rich, Hasewood and Nabors all had one steal each.
JDCC will be back in action Tuesday at home against Chattahoochee Valley in another conference game. Tip is set to begin at 7 p.m. in Brewton.
The Warhawks will travel to Enterprise Thursday for a 7 p.m. conference game before playing two home games to end the month of January.
