Northview Chiefs basketball beats WSN Tuesday

Couple Northview’s Neino Robinson pouring in 34 points and the Chiefs using a 19-0 run in the second quarter, a 9-0 run in the third quarter and an 11-0 run to end the game and you have the recipe for a 79-41, 38-point win for the Northview Chiefs Tuesday night at home in East Brewton on senior night.
Things started off pretty good for the Eagles as, after trailing 15-9 with 1:38 left in the first quarter, the Eagles used a 7-0 run to cut the lead to 16-15 with 25 seconds left in the first quarter. Northview would end up getting a late 3-pointer to lead the Eagles 18-16 after one quarter of play.
In the second quarter, it was all Northview as the Chiefs built on their 3-pointer to end the first quarter and cruised to a 19-0 run to take a 34-16 lead with 2:56 left before the half.
The Chiefs went on to outscore the Eagles 23-7 in the second quarter to take a 41-23 lead into the half.
In the third quarter W.S. Neal cut the lead to 47-28 with 5:55, but would succumb to a 9-0 run late in the quarter to be outscored 18-11 and trail by 25 points heading into the fourth quarter, 59-34.
In the fourth, the Eagles would get as close as 68-41 with 4:36 left in the game before the Chiefs used an 11-0 run to end the game and get the big win.
Tyshawn Davis and Josiah Nettles both the Eagles of East Brewton in the loss with 14 points each while Trevor Burns added six points. Austin Dixon added three points and Malcolm Hawthorne and Tavin Ingrahm both chipped in two points each in the loss.
W.S. Neal shot 9-for-17 from the free throw line while Northview went 6-for-11.
The varsity Eagles fell to 3-10 with the loss to the Chiefs.
W.S. Neal is scheduled to play at Pleasant Home Friday at 4:30 p.m. and will finish their regular season with a 4:30 p.m. game Monday at Flomaton.
No girls game was played Tuesday night against Northview.

Northview 50, WSN B-team 27
In the B-team game Tuesday, Northview started the game on an 8-0 run and used a 15-0 run in the fourth quarter to take down the Eagles of East Brewton 50-27.
The Eagles fell to 2-7 with the loss to the Chiefs.
The visiting Chiefs of Northview led W.S. Neal 15-4 after the first quarter and 25-10 at the half after outscoring the Eagles 10-6 in the second quarter.
The Eagle offense came life briefly in the third quarter as they outscored Northview 9-5 to cut the lead to 30-19 heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, Northview dashed any hopes of a late Eagle comeback as they used a 15-0 run in the quarter to pull away and get the win by 23 points.
The Eagles had eight players score in the loss with Robin Swift leading the way with eight points.
Treylon Watson added six points and Troy Lewis and Ty Alexander both had three points each. Antwan Jones, Quantae Barksdale and Lane Chavers all had two points each. Dalton Shell had one point in the loss.
W.S. Neal shot 2-for-9 from the free throw line and Northview was 4-for-7 from the line.
