Serving great Southern-style food is a jewel in crown of area cooks – and the recipes used to create those dishes are being sought for a community cookbook.

The Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce compiles recipes submitted from area cooks each year to create a collection for the Alabama Bluberry Festival Cookbook.

Recipes of any kind, not just blueberry recipes, can be submitted for the publication.

Categories include main entrees, desserts, salads, beverages, breads and more.

Each submission printed in the edition for 2013 will include all information for the recipe including the name of the person making the submission.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 1 and can be delivered in several ways. Recipes may be dropped off in person at the Chamber offices inside Brewton City Hall on Douglas Avenue. Submissions may be made by email to cpettis@brewtonchamber.com or by mail to Alabama Blueberry Festival, 1010B Douglas Ave., Brewton, AL 36426.
