JDCC baseball splits with Enterprise

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk baseball team earned a split with Enterprise Wednesday at home to see their record go to 9-11 overall and to 2-4 in conference play.
JDCC lost game one 7-0, but took game two 8-1.
In game one, JDCC was held hitless. On the mound Michael Yarborough took the loss on the mound going six innings and allowing seven hits, one unearned run, walked none and struck out three.
Mitchell Peterson went one inning and struck out one.
Enterprise’s lone run—and the lone run of the game—came in the top of the sixth inning.
In game two, JDCC’s bats came alive as they posted nine hits in an 8-1 win.
Tyler Howell earned the win on the mound going five innings and allowing two hits, one earned run, walked four and struck out five.
At the plate, Mark Humphreys, Logan Hill, Brandon Ray, Kyle Freeman, Trae Walsingham and Hunter Bonds all had hits. Hill had a double and Freeman was 3-for-4. Hill had two RBIs along with Bonds. Ray and Freeman had one RBI each.
