TRM baseball rallies with win over Flomaton

Three days after taking down the Flomaton Hurricanes in the Escambia County Tournament by a score of 5-4 in 10 innings, the Tigers netted another 5-4 win over the Hurricanes Tuesday night at home.
With the win, the No. 6-ranked Tigers in class 3A improved to 4-1 this season.
Flomaton scored all four of their runs in the second inning while the Tigers plated three in the fourth and two in the seventh to get the win by one.
Jacob Fillmore had the game-winning RBI on a single in the seventh to score Trey Salter, who reached on a walk. Ryan Hunt tied the game up in the bottom of the inning after reaching on an error. He later stole second and third base and reached home on a balk.
Jones Manning was 1-for-4 at the plate for the Tigers and Fillmore was 2-for-4. Kevin Davis was 2-for-3 with a double.
Darby Black earned the win and improved to 3-0 this season. Black went four innings and allowed no runs, three hits, struck out four and hit one. Tripp Floyd went three innings and allowed four runs, three hits, walked two and struck out one. Two of the four runs allowed by Floyd were earned.

Flomaton 5, TRM JV 4
In their second game against Flomaton in three days, the T.R. Miller JV baseball Tigers fell to 0-2 with a 3-2 home loss to the Hurricanes.
James Peach pitched five innings in the loss. Peach gave up three hits and struck out nine in the loss.
Flomaton scored all three of their runs in the third inning while T.R. Miller scored both of their runs in the bottom of the fifth.
The Tigers will take part in the JV baseball tournament at W.S. Neal Saturday in East Brewton.
