JDCC softball now 6-10 overall

In their recent stretch of six games, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk softball team went 2-4 to fall to 6-10 overall.
JDCC was swept in doubleheaders to Central Alabama and Jones County Junior College. The Warhawks lost game one to Central Alabama 12-4 and game two 10-1. Against Jones, JDCC lost 5-3 and 8-0.
In a home doubleheader Saturday against Carl Sandburg, JDCC took game one 14-4 and game two 11-5.

Central Alabama 12-10, JDCC 4-1,
With the game tied at 4-all in game one, Central Alabama scored eight unanswered runs to take down JDCC 12-4.
Jennifer Fisher and Paige Odom led JDCC with a double each in the loss while Laura Zeegers led with a homerun.
Jessica Swindle took the loss on the mound as she went 1 1/3 innings and allowed five hits, eight runs, four earned, walked and struck out two.
In game two, JDCC took a 10-1 loss to fall to 4-8.
Rachel Seitz led with a homerun. Breana Hall took the loss on the mound as she went 2 1/3 innings and allowed seven hits, six runs, three earned, walked three and struck out one.

Jones County 5-8, JDCC 3-0
Against Jones, JDCC lost 5-3 in game one and 8-0 in game two.
In game one, Morgan Agerton, Fisher, Sarah Watkins and Zeegers all led at the plate with double. Watkins led with two doubles. Hall took the loss going seven innings and allowing four hits, five runs, one earned, walked two and struck out five.
In game two, JDCC was shutout and had only four hits and four errors. Agerton, Courtney Lowery, Zeegers and Hall all had hits. Elissa Kelly took the loss on the mound going five innings and allowed five hits, five runs, three earned, walked two and struck out none.

JDCC 14-11, Carl Sandburg 4-5
JDCC got back in the win column Saturday at home as they swept Carl Sandburg 14-4 and 11-5.
Dymon Coachman was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Zeegers was 2-for-3 with two double. Swindle had four RBIs in the loss. Hall earned the win going five innings and allowed one hit, four runs, none earned, walked one and struck out nine.
In game two, JDCC pounded out 14 hits in an 11-5 win.
Kayla Watson and Chelsea Brown both had homeruns. Zeegers had a double in the win.
Kelly earned the win on the mound as she went four innings and allowed eight hits, four runs, two earned, walked two and struck out three.
