Three Warhawk basketball players make second team All-South division

Despite having a rough season this year with a 2-22 overall record and a 2-12 record in conference play, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball team saw the light at the end of the tunnel as they added three players to the second team All South Division team.
Dee Jay Braggs, Fletcher Forte, and Chris Oden were recently named to the team for the Warhawks.
“I’m very pleased with how hard they continued to fight in the face of the adversity we had this year,” JDCC head coach Allen Gainer said. “They are deserving of this honor.”
Braggs finished with 234 points for JDCC and played in 23 games. He went 100-for-207 from the field during the 2012-13 season and was 1-for-2 from the 3-point area. Braggs finished with 125 rebounds, two assists, 21 blocks and 20 steals and was 33-for-59 from the free throw area.
Forte finished with 222 points for JDCC and played in 24 games. He went 67-for-202 from the field during the 2012-13 season and was 57-for-160 from the 3-point area. Braggs finished with 61 rebounds, 57 assists, and 28 steals and was 31-for-50 from the free throw area.
Oden finished with 242 points for JDCC and was the leading scorer for the Warhawks during the 2012-13 season. Oden played in 23 games. He went 89-for-195 from the field and was 24-for-69 from the 3-point area. Braggs finished with 91 rebounds, 86 assists, one block and 43 steals and was 40-for-48 from the free throw area.
