Carrying a three-game winning streak into a road game Tuesday with the Escambia County Lady Blue Devils—a team that already has defeated T.R. Miller this season—the Lady Tigers made it four straight wins with a 7-4 win over Atmore.
Atmore led T.R. Miller 2-0 after the first inning and 3-2 after the second, but the Lady Tigers rallied to tie the game at 3-all after three innings.
With Atmore leading 4-3 after four innings, T.R. Miller scored four unanswered runs to get the win by three. The Lady Tigers scored two runs in the fifth and seventh innings to seal the win and improve to 5-3 this season.
“This was a great win,” Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said. “I was proud of the way we won. It was back and forth for seven innings and we found a way to win towards the end. ECHS is a very good team. They beat us earlier in the season and they came in second place in our tournament. So to get the win at their place was a big deal. Laurel Billy and Moriah Brundidge both pitched well for us. We had a couple of errors early that put us behind, but as the game went on we cleaned that up a little.”
Brundidge earned the win in relief as she went four innings and allowed one run, one hit, walked three and struck out four.
Laurel Billy went the first three innings and allowed three runs, two hits, struck out four and walked two.
At the plate, Abbi Roberts was 2-for-3 with a double, one RBI and scored two runs. Jessica Allan was 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Audrey Hamric added a hit, Krystal Bell had a double, Brundidge had a two-RBI single and Ali Taylor had a two RBI single.

TRM JV 14, Atmore 0
In JV action, Myra Reiss pitched a no-hitter to lead T.R. Miller to a 14-0 win and improve to 6-1 this season.
T.R. Miler scored six runs in the first, two in the second and seven more in the third to win the game in the three-inning mercy rule.
Reiss went three innings and allowed no run, no hits, walked one and struck out five.
At the plate, Morgan Longmire was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and scored three runs. Caitlyn Smith was 2-for-2 with three RBIs and scored one run.
Steely Ruzic was 2-for-4 with two runs scored while Madison Douglas, Rudy Watson, Alexis King, Taylor Austin, Grace Ruzic and Mary Madison Brown all had hits.
Both the T.R. Miller varsity and JV will host W.S. Neal Thursday at 4 and 5:30 p.m. respectively Thursday in an area game.
