WSN baseball moves to 10-0

The No. 1-ranked W.S. Neal Eagle baseball team made it 10 straight wins Friday night in Monroeville as the Eagles swept Monroe County to improve to 10-0 this season.
W.S. Neal took game one 4-0 and game two 10-0.
In game one, Christian Purvis, Brian Settle, Dylan Godwin, Mike Williams and Tyler Joyner all had hits. Settle had a homerun and Joyner had a double in the win. Settle finished with two RBIs as well as Williams.
Keith Bradley earned the win on the mound going six innings and allowed one hit, one walk and struck out three.
Jeremy Myers went the final inning and struck out two.
In game two, Purvis, Taylor Elliott, Miles Powell, Malcolm Hawthorne and Jared Cooper all had hits. Myers and Settle had two hits each and Godwin had three hits. Godwin, Elliott and Powell all had doubles. Purvis, Myers, Settle, Joyner and Powell all had RBIs in the win.
Cam Blackman went six innings on the mound for the Eagles to earn the win. Blackman allowed two hits, no walks and struck out 13. Joyner went the final inning and struck out two.
