Undefeated W.S. Neal remains No. 1

The W.S. Neal Eagle baseball team remained the top team in Class 3A for the third straight week after the new ASWA baseball and softball poll was released this morning.

W.S. Neal is currently 10-0 and will play their area opener at 5 p.m. Friday at Cottage Hill. The two teams will meet again in East Brewton on Saturday for a noon doubleheader.

T.R. Miller is currently 8-2 this season and will start their area season Friday at Bayside Academy. The Tigers and Admirals will meet Saturday in Brewton for a noon doubleheader.

T.R. Miller, which is 8-2, was outside the top 10, ranked at No. 17. The Tigers were No. 6 in the first poll of the season before falling out of the top 10 last week following a loss to Excel.
