Mrs. Joan Worthington White,75, died Sunday, March 24, 2013. She was a native of Brewton, and a resident of Nine Mile. She was the co-owner of Azalea Paving Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Ruth Worthington; a sister, Naomi Lindsey and a brother, James Worthington.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Wayne White; her daughters, Vicki Locklin (Clyde) Miller of Satsuma, Dr. Sherry Ann White of Pensacola, Fla., Gina Locklin (Mark) Byrd of Eight Mile, and Shlynn White (Bob) Curry of Huntsville; her siblings, Eugene Worthington, Doris Frazier, and Nell Murphy all of Brewton; her grandchildren, Drew Miller, Zac Miller, Dylan Byrd, Aaron Byrd, Libby White; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 27 at Lathan Funeral Home, in Jackson,  from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. with Brother William Allison officiating. Burial will follow at Perry’s Chapel Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing  An online guestbook may be signed at www.lathanfuneralhomes.com.
Pallbearers will be Drew Miller, Zac Miller, Dylan Byrd, Aaron Byrd, Sonny Williams and Chuck Dempsey.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe White, Eugene Worthington, Likley Powe, Mark Byrd, Clyde Miller, and Bob Curry.
