The T.R. Miller varsity and JV teams both claimed wins Tuesday at Flomaton to improve their records. The JV Tigers won 8-4 to improve to 3-7 while the varsity Tigers won 12-4 to go to 11-6 this year.

TRM varsity 12, Flomaton 4
Jacob Fillmore was a single short of the cycle Tuesday night as he helped the T.R. Miller Tiger baseball team end their two-game losing streak and pick up a 12-4 win at Flomaton.
Fillmore went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and a homerun and three RBIs in the win and also had two stolen bases.
T.R. Miller pounded out 14 hits in the win over the Hurricanes.
“We swung the sticks good, got good pitching and played defense,” T.R. Miller head coach Jim Hart said.
T.R. Miller led Flomaton 5-0 after the first two innings and took a 7-1 lead after the top of the fifth. After Flomaton cut the lead to 7-4 heading into the sixth, T.R. Miller scored five unanswered runs the rest of the way to get the eight-run win. The Tigers scored three runs in the sixth inning and two in the seventh.
Also at the plate for T.R. Miller in the win, Kevin Davis was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and three stolen bases. Darby Black was 2-for-2 with a solo homerun and Jones Manning was 2-for-3.
Kyle Davis, Hunter Brittain, Dominique Jackson and Ryan Hunt all had one hit each for the Tigers.
On the mound, Black earned the win going three innings and allowing one run, three hits, walked one, hit one and struck out six.
Tripp Floyd went two innings and allowed three runs, two earned, walked one, surrendered two hits and struck out three.
Hunt went the final two innings and allowed no runs, one hit, walked none and struck out two.

TRM JV 8, Flomaton 4
In JV action Tuesday, T.R. Miller scored four runs in the second inning to lead them to an 8-4 win over Flomaton.
After leading 4-0 after the second, T.R. Miller scored one run each in the third and fourth innings and two more in the fifth while holding Flomaton to one run in the second and three in the fifth.
At the plate, Ethan Bollenbacher, James Peach, and Tim McDonald all had one hit each while Jonathon Lucas had two hits and two RBIs.
Peach pitched five innings for the Tigers and claimed the win on the mound.
