Two killed in early morning crash

Both drivers involved in a two-vehicle crash were killed Thursday morning near Castleberry, according to information from the Alabama State Trooper’s office in Evergreen.

Michael “Chase” Kaylor, 18, of Brewton and Bertha Oliver, 55, of Evergreen were both killed when the two vehicles they were driving collided on Conecuh County Road 6 about seven miles east of Castleberry around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, troopers said.

Kaylor was former member of the W.S. Neal High School Eagle football program until he transferred from the school last year.

No other information has been made available from troopers who are conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash.
