TRM and WSN girls tennis compete at sectionals

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger tennis team saw some good things at their sectional meet Monday in Montgomery, but saw their season end with a 7-2 record.
“Overall we had a successful season,” Lady Tiger tennis coach Gerald McAnally said. Along with T.R. Miller at the class 3A section 1 sectionals, teams included W.S. Neal, Catholic of Montgomery, Montgomery Academy, Trinity, and Prattville Christian.
The Lady Tigers won three matches Monday.
Rebecca Quick won her first singles match 10-6 against Catholic, and lost the semifinal match to Montgomery Academy 10-2.
Bridget Casey won her first singles match 10-6 against PCA and lost the semifinal match to Montgomery Academy 10-0.
Elizabeth Althauser and Morgan Manning won their first doubles match against W.S. Neal 10-1 and lost their second doubles against Trinity 10-2
Althauser lost her singles match 10-1 to Catholic
Manning lost her singles match to PCA 10-8 after there were six deuces in the match.
Karisa Nelson battled against her Catholic opponent and lost a heartbreaker in a tiebreaker 8-6. Match score was 11-10.
Amelia Peach lost her singles match 10-7 against PCA.
Nelson and Peach lost their doubles match to PCA 10-7
Casey and Quick lost their doubles match 10-7 against Catholic
W.S. Neal girls lost all their matches by a score of 10-0. The Lady Eagles lost five single matches and two doubles. No other information for W.S. Neal was known as of press time Tuesday.
The Tiger and Eagle boys will compete at sectionals Wednesday.
