JDCC softball swept by PSC

In a two game road series at Pensacola State Tuesday, the Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk softball team was swept to fall to 15-36 overall third year.
The Lady Warhawks lost game one to Pensacola State 8-0 and game two 6-0.
In game one, JDCC was held to only one hit while managing only three hits in game two.
In game one, PSC scored five runs in the third inning and three more in the fourth to get the win. Jennifer Fisher had the lone hit for JDCC.
Jessica Swindle and Breanna Hall pitched in the loss and went a combined four innings and allowed four hits, eight runs, two earned, walked three and struck out one.
In game two, Pensacola State once again used a five-run fourth inning and scored one run in the fifth to get a 6-0 win.
Fisher was 1-for-2 and Paige Odom was 2-for-2 at the plate in the loss.
In the circle for the Lady Warhawks, Elissa Kelly and Swindle pitched and went six innings and allowed eight hits, six runs, three earned, walked two and struck out none.
JDCC is scheduled to play a big conference game Thursday at home against LBW. Game time is set for 1 and 3 p.m. in Brewton. With wins against LBW Thursday, JDCC can clinch a spot in the state tournament next week in Alabaster.
