Mrs. Clara Mae Bell Williamson, 73, of Brewton, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at a local nursing facility after a brief illness. She was a native and long-time resident of Conecuh County, before moving to Brewton.  She was a retired cook and a member of the Catawba Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Williamson; a son, John Richard Williamson; and three brothers, Joe Bell, Robert Bell, and Dan Bell.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Charlene (Ed) Cartwright of Brewton; a brother, Wayne Bell of Decatur; three sisters, Dorothy Elder of Brewton, Ruby Merritt of Pensacola, Fla., and Hettie Adell Baker of Whiting, Ind.; two grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Cartwright and Brittany Michelle Cartwright; one great-grandson, William Jacob Hall, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday at Craver’s Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at Catawba Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. Bural will follow in Catawba Cemetery.
