Mr. Barry Michael Blackwell, 65, died June 15, 2013 at his residence after a short illness. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war, serving in the 1st Cavalry Division as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hughie and Ethel Lois Blackwell.
He is survived by his sister, Marie Blackwell (Floyd) Morgan of Lenox; a brother, Ray Blackwell of Range and five nieces and nephews.
The body was donated to the University of South Alabama School of Medical Science. Memorial services will be held at Lenox Springhill United Methodist Church on Sunday, June 23, at 2 p.m. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
