Reba Avant Perry

Reba Avant Perry, 87, of Auburn, and formerly of Brewton, died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at her home.

She was a native of Elmore County, and had been a resident of Montgomey and in several places in Georgia before moving to Brewton. She resided in Brewton for 55 years, and was an active member of Brewton First Baptist Church. She worked with the Department of Agriculture as a clerk until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oland and Maggie Mae Avant; and her husband of 60 years, Tom Perry.
She is survived by their four children, Michael W. Perry of Seattle, Wash., Susan P. Rogers (Kenneth) of Auburn, Dr. Donald A. Perry (Kay) of Lynchburg, Va., and Ann P. East (Gary) of Owens Cross Roads; seven grandchildren, David Rogers, Ben (Carol) Rogers, Mary Rogers (Andrew) Leatherwood, Steven (Hanna) Perry, Joseph Perry, Emily East (Matt) Eckley, and Andrew (Kelly) East; and seven great-grand -children, Kenneth, Joy, William, Everett, Ben, Kate and Perry.
Burial at Town Creek Cemetery in Auburn, will be private.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 3 at Town Creek Cemetery Pavilion.  Contact the family for the specific time with Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home and Crematory directing.
