Mrs. Debra Ann Johnson Armstrong, 57, of Mantel Street, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in a Birmingham medical facility after a brief illness. She was a native of Brewton, and a long time resident of East Brewton. She was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church in Jay, Fla., attended W.S. Neal High School and graduated from Ed Reid Nursing School. She was a former nurse at an assisted living facility. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Robinson Sr. and a grandson, Nicholas Ryan Robinson. She is survived by her parents, Ola and Clifford Johnson of East Brewton; three sons, Billy Joe (Samantha) Robinson, Jr. and Dennis Ray Robinson, both of East Brewton, and John and Trica Strength of Jay, Fla.; a daughter, Kristin (Brandon) Armstrong of East Brewton; a brother, Larry Ray (Vernoncia) Johnson of East Brewton; a sister, Sara (Forrest) Gricius of East Brewton; seven grandchildren, Sierra Robinson, Kaden Strength, Kailee Strength, Tristen Armstrong, Bryon Pugh, Gaberilla Robinson and Ashley (Jon) Nelson; one great-grandson, Aiden Nelson and a number of aunts and uncles. Funeral services were held Friday August 2, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Carnley officiating.
