William Ray Baggett

Mr. William Ray Baggett, 78, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 in a Pensacola, Fla., health care facility.

He was a native of Repton and had been a resident of Brewton for the past 52 years, coming from Mobile. He worked as a salesman in the feed and milling industry for a number of years, and also worked as produce manager at Pic-N-Save. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brewton.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. JoAnn Dillashaw Baggett of Brewton; a son, Duane (Cindy) Baggett of Brewton; two daughters, Sharon (Maxie) Smith and Terri (Carl) Lodge of Brewton; seven grandchildren, Jamieson Peterman, Meagan Madden, Madalyn Baggett, Christian Lodge, Casey Lodge, Caden Lodge, Caylee Lodge; and two great-grandchildren, Sara Peterman, and Aubrie Peterman.

Visitation will be held at Craver’s Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Brewton with the Rev. Jack Fitts and the Rev. John Finklea officiating.

Burial will follow in Baggett’s Chapel Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Carl Baggett, Maxie Smith, Carl Lodge, Christian Lodge, Caden Lodge, Ellis Davis, and Jim Baggett.
