Kedarius Dailey, 18, is facing several charges including breaking and entering a vehicle, attempting to elude and first-degree theft of property.

Dailey was the subject of a search following a break in of a vehicle at a Flomaton tire shop, reports said.

After Dailey was taken into custody, law enforcement officers went on a search to find the weapon missing from the vehicle.

After an extended searching involving officers from the Flomaton Police Department, Atmore Police Department, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department and a K9 unit from Century Correctional Facility, the weapon was recovered just a short distance from Flomaton High School.

Flomaton schools were on lock-down for a short time following the break in at the business, however, that order has been lifted following the capture of the suspect and recovery of the weapon.

Law enforcement officers with Flomaton Police Department, Escambia County Sheriff’s Department and Atmore Police Department were working cooperatively in the search.
