TRM cross country ‘Stampedes’

In a Saturday race in Pensacola at the Gulf Coast Stampede, the T.R. Miller cross country teams had four different teams run in the event.
The JV boys placed 14th out of 15 teams while the JV girls took fifth out of seven teams. In the varsity boys race, T.R. Miller’s Tigers took 23rd out of 27 teams while the Lady Tigers had the best finish of the day out of all four teams as they took sixth place out of 26 teams.
In the JV boys race for T.R. Miller, Gavin McNeil was the first T.R. Miller runner to cross the finish line as he placed 122nd out of 171 runners with a time of 24:15.70.
Walker Harris claimed 125th with a time of 24:28.90 while Tanner McDaniel finished with a time of 25:14.20 for 136th place.
Tucker McDaniel came in 145th place with a time of 25:14.20 and Noah Winton finished 151st with a time of 26:33.00.
Sam Terry, Garrett Cave and Rider Jernigan rounded out the JV runners. Terry had a time of 28:01.90 while Cave finished with a time of 30:11. 50. Jernigan’s time was 30:15.60.
In the JV girls race, Shelby Evans led the Lady Tigers with a 31st place finish with a time of 26:48.60. Kennedy Harp was 37th as she ran a time of 27:33.70 and Sarah Byrd finished 39th with a time of 27:38.40.
McKenna Gleaton ran a time of 27:56.40 for 42nd place while Carmen Knowles placed 65th with a time of 30:22.40.
Tess Thomas also ran for the Lady Tigers and placed 81st. Thomas finished with a time of 35:52.90.
In the varsity boys race, a race that had 241 runners in it, Christian Carlson placed 41st with a time of 18:10.30.
Travis Carlson had a time of 20:40.90 for 155th place while Dillon Simmons placed 167th with a time of 20:55.50.
Stewart Campbell ran a time of 22:18.10 for 200th place while Nash Diercks was right behind Campbell for 201st place and a time of 22:20.00.
Micah Flores finished with a time of 22:27.90 for 207th and Noah Morris ran a time of 23:20.40 for 217th place.
For the Lady Tigers of T.R. Miller, Karisa Nelson paced the team with an overall second place finish out of 216 runners.
Nelson ran a time of 19:29.70.
Katie Nelson finished a close third overall for T.R. Miller with a time of 19:38.50 while Allie Nelson came in 14th overall with a time of 20:43.80.
Kelsi Lum finished 106th for T.R. Miller with a time of 24:31.50 while Tarah Townsend and Amber Terry finished 118th and 118th respectively. Townsend finished with a time of 24:55.10 while Terry had a time of 24:59.90.
Auburn Schoonover ran a time of 26:02.90 for 142nd place for T.R. Miller while Breann Huff finished with a time of 26:59.80 for 155th place.
Morgan Rowell round out the Lady Tigers with a time of 27:46.20 for 168th place.
Karisa and Katie Nelson both earned national silver standard for their times in the race.
