WSNMS volleyball defeats PH 2-1 while WSN JV and varsity fall

In a Thursday afternoon game at Pleasant Home, the W.S. Neal Middle School volleyball team was the lone Lady Eagle team to come away with wins.
The middle school Lady Eagles lost set one to PH 25-13 but claimed a 25-20 win in set two and a 15-11 win in the deciding third set to get the win and improve to 8-2 this season. W.S. Neal’s two losses this year have come to 11-0 Brewton Middle School.
In varsity action, the Lady Eagles of East Brewton lost 3-2 to fall to 3-5 this season. W.S. Neal won set one 25-16 before falling in set two 25-8 and set three 25-18. In the fourth set, W.S. Neal evened things up at 2-2 with a 25-21 win to force a deciding fifth game. In the fifth game, PH came away with a 15-12 win to get the win.
In JV action, W.S. Neal lost 25-17 and 25-11 to fall to 2-5 this year.
The two teams will meet again Monday in East Brewton at 4, 5 and 6 p.m. with the middle school teams playing first followed by the JV and then the varsity.
No other stats or information was known from the JV and varsity games.
In the middle school game, in set one, Janiya McCants led with four service points while Kayla Ball added three.
In set two, Raven Woods led with six service points while Ball had five.
In the third set tie breaker, McCants led with 10 service points to help aid WSNMS in the win.
