TRM cross country takes second and third place at Northview race

In a mid-week race Tuesday at Northview, T.R. Miller’s boys cross country team took a second place overall finish while the Lady Tigers placed third overall.
Other teams at the meet with T.R. Miller were Pensacola Christian Academy, Jay, Pensacola, Tate, Northview, Flomaton and Earnest Ward.
In the boys race, T.R. Miller placed second behind Pensacola Christian Academy while the girls finished third behind Pensacola Christian Academy and Jay.
For the boys, Christian Carlson was the first Tiger to come across the finish line with a time of 18:10. Travis Carlson ran a time of 20:30 while Dillan Simmons placed third for T.R. Miller with a time of 20:59. Micah Flores ran a time of 21:14 and Noah Morris was the fifth overall T.R. Miller boy to finish as he ran a time of 23:40.
For the Lady Tigers of T.R. Miller, Katie Nelson was the fastest overall girl in the race as she ran a time of 18:38 for first overall.
Placing second for T.R. Miller was Kelsi Lum with a time of 24:11 and Tarah Townsend took third for T.R. Miller with a time of 25:15.
Shelby Evans ran a time of 26:28 for T.R. Miller to become the fourth overall Lady Tiger to come across the finish line.
Breann Huff placed fifth overall for T.R. Miller with a time of 26:55.
No overall finish placements were known as of press time.
