The Brewton Choo-Choo Farmer’s Market is on for the weekend, with potential bad weather from Tropical Storm Karen looking like it will hold off until later in the day.

In addition to the usual food and craft vendors at the market at Jennings Park in downtown Brewton, this week there will be a scarecrow contest, and Pig Daddy’s barbecue will be on site.

The Jay Peanut Festival at Gabbert Farm is also on schedule for Saturday.
